Hello David,

I read again your original thread, and saw that Eric Manuel suggested to
replace C816 1000uf/25v (thanks Eric). I replaced it and VOILA, set fired
up. I had esr'd it originally and it was ok, the value was at 945 and I
thought it was close enough. So I dusted off my Sprague Tel-Ohmike and
checked it under a load, and sure enough, it craps out at about 10.5v. I
replaced all the original ic's back into the set and has been running as it
should for three hours now.
I saw that you had changed that cap also, may want to check it again. If
still no 12v, unsolder pin 1 of IC 853 and see if the 12v comes up. I found
originally a 100uf/16v(that is tied inton this IC) down to about 40uf (damn,
I don't remember the location #, but it's in front of IC 853). Let me know
if you need the location #.
