[TechAssist] RCA/Proscan Proj.TV, model PS60682....Dead, but chirping

Folks....Fairly new to the list so please be gentle...Good customer, of many 
years, came in & said above set was chirping like a cricket and wouldn't turn 
on. He plugged it in & out of the wall many times, drawing "sparks" (from 
wall plug) unitl chirping disappeared. Now, when he turns it on with power 
button gets only one chirp (no turn on) and won't react to Remote turn on. I 
Have been a hard working bench tech for 31 yrs, little experience  with 
projct.TV's...am going to his house as a courtesy. Anything you can arm me 
with would be greatly appreciated.
