I was thinking the same thing. I fixed a VCR for my Aunt last summer - and she had it hooked up similarly in "series" like that with the RF connectors. She claimed one wouldnt record off the 1st one, so I tried telling her that the channel of the 1st VCR had to be set to 3 or 4, but she lost me after that - and you know how old ladies are anyway. She wound up giving me the VCR for free, saying I can use it for parts, then she bought another one. BTW - nothings wrong with the Fisher she gave me, so I sold it on Ebay for $20 bucks. I expect another service call from "auntie" at some point when she needs someone to talk to over Tea & crumpets...! LOL. Probably wind up with the Panasonic next...heh.
