Al, My Brighthouse cable + wide band internet at the shop is about
$102.00/month. Verizon is offering DSL for 14.95/month, BUT: that's
residential, NOT available to my commercial shop. Do you find ever an
actual need to have cable,if you have a good antenna? What if higher
cable channels on a customer's TVs have a problem? I guess my TAG001
RCA tuner aligner would reproduce those cable freqs?
Back to DSL: Verizon tested my line and said at the shop, I'm 1,414 feet
from the central office.So that's borderline.My speed would be at best
about 700KB/sec. Cost? $24.95, less a 10% discount (because of my other
services), so $22.95/month+taxes, or about $30.00/month. My cable
internet is around $50.00 for reportedly 5 megs/sec. I just don't
know.Would be nice to erect a good antenna, and DSL, totalling
$30.00/month instead of over a hundred. Thanks for the food for thought.
