My shop is where i live, and i have 5 cats. Yes, they'll jump on TVs... don't leave anything open when you're not around. Most of them can aim their jumps very well, but all it takes is a slip of the paw to break something... plus, you will need to remove the cat hair from every set you return to the customer... but otherwise, it's nice to have some distraction once in a while. kind regards, Stefaan Van Slycken Van Slycken Elektro - Waasmunster, Belgium. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Electric Medic" <info@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, May 25, 2003 9:17 AM Subject: [TechAssist] Re: Can a cat live in a TV repair shop? Hey, I like it. Now you can say "Look what the cat dragged in", when one of your regular customers come in. Or maybe he can spy on a competitor and come back to your shop and be a Copycat. I wouldn't worry Kevin, your stray cat is a well-oiled machine, capable of many years of top performance, However, the time may come when your cat isn't operating efficiently, (Shocked) or worse, that one or more of its parts are damaged. When these concerns arise, there are a few things you can do to eliminate serious malfunctioning conditions, but in most cases, you will need to take the Cat to the other Repair shop, or "veterinary office," for professional diagnostic and repair. Just having a little fun. Hi fellow techs, This question is a bit off topic, but it needs to be answered. Does anyone have a cat (or pets of any kind) in their TV shop? My guess is that a cat might jump up onto a TV or computer monitor with the back off and turned on and lose all of its 9 lives at once. I have a stray cat that has adopted my back yard and wants to come in. But I am concerned that he won't last very long so I have not let him in.
