Yes, this set has only one eeprom.  I had the original plus another
eeprom from another identical chassis that I had tried with no luck.

Both Proms?? Do the Hotel sets have an additional EEprom that I'm not
aware
of?
Any RCA set I've serviced only had one EEprom. Or are you talking about
the
"original EEprom and the EEprom he had used for testing"?
