Measurements will vary. The only reliable thing that you can check with
your meter is that the diode forward biases. Just use a limiting
resistor and hook up to a variable dc supply and measure the zener
voltage and leakage current.

Subject: [TechAssist] Advice needed 3 volt zener leaky????

Hi am I supposed to get reverse leakage on this diode I am getting 100 k
on it and also 2 more new diodes .On a 10 volt zener I dont get any back
reading.Is this normal on a 3 volt diode.This diode is in a ctc169
direct view diode# CR4122--rca#200158.anyone have one they can measure
the forward and back to check it for me,,Thanks Eric
