Have you tried Buggy Warehouse here in San Antonio, or Wolfsburg West in CA?
Both know what they are doing and both ship. You would need to organize your
needs so you can be more effective, but at least you would get what you need.

The sad thing is, as far as I know, they're the only
aircooled VW parts place in the area...
My big issue was always havin' to drive 120 miles
round trip, comin ' home empty handed.
Tried to get them to ship me a generator once in 1972
via Grayhound (about a mile from their shop)...they
asshat said Hell NO! What do you think we are???
When he told him what I thought they were, he hung up
on me...After that, I just paid outrageous prices at
the Hot Springs dealership.
