Well on a bleeder screw you want them secure.  On the fronts an 11mm box wrench 
with a long handle does the trick usually for me.

Last night I had replaced only the cylinders with the bleeders. The other 
work fine, the problem is with the bleeders being really hard (or 
impossible) to open.
