Steve it wants to connect to find stations. How can it find them if I don't
connect? Is that why you are saying let it connect for the first time?

    Hi Eleanor,

No, just say no to connecting and the radio should still work, or just let
it connect for the first time.

    All the best

    Steve

I have tried the radio thing on my N95 but it wants to connect to the
Internet to get stations. Is this correct? Am I having to pay then to listen
to the radio on my phone? I do have a contract but still I just want to know.
I have tried playing the little I have in terms of songs and listening with my
headphones and I find the quality very poor indeed, all crackley. Maybe it is
the headphones but I am surprised.

      Hi,

What about the player built into the phone? It now remembers your
position, so long as you don't play another file.

      All the best

I've tried it and it's very good but it crashes on my phone
whenever I try forwarding or rewinding.

Scheherazade will play mp3's without converting, and works really
well. I can't remember where I got it from though.

              Cheers

            Hi,

Nokia Audiobook player will play MP3, but you have to convert them
first with its PC software. So they get converted into its own format.

            All the best

                  Hi,

Thanks all for your advice regarding Nokia Maps. I am
currently looking for any good audio book players and music players that will
work on the N95 8gb.

I found a free audio book player on www.platysoft.com.au
which I really like. You copy your books onto a folder called 'audio books' on
your memory card and the program picks them up. It also bookmarks your last
position so you can continue listening from where you left off. The only thing
is it crashes whenever I try to forward and rewind. Is there any other similar
programs like this? I am correct in thinking that Nokia Aduio books won't play
Mp3s?

Also, I have my music organised into different folders so I
am looking for a player that will allow me to choose what folder I would like
to play.

and finally what is the best way to play ogg files? I tried
the program 'ogg play' on my N70 but I didn't really like it. Is it possible to
get codecs to allow the default music player in the N95 to play ogg files? I
was able to do this with the N70.

                  Many thanks,

                  Adeel

                  Hi Eleanor,

Packet data unavailable usually means that you are in a bad
signal area. It means that Packet Data is not available to you, so I would
imagine you don't have 3G coverage either, unless you turned it off.

                  All the best

                  Hi

As most of you will know from my questions, I have 6 e-mail
boxes set up on my phone. Now one of them is a company in ireland called
Eircom. I can receive my e-mails OK no problem but I cannot send out e-mails
on the phone. The message I am getting is 'packet data not available'. Any
suggestions please? I did contact the Eircom support at Steve's suggestion and
they did give me the settings but I am still having this problem.

                  Eleanor
