Wow, that's news to me, your Acer must be newer then mine, and that's
sad to hear.
I was able to disable secure boot and enable the boot menu that one
uses by pressing f12 during boot-up to choose the boot device.
Granted, mine came with win7 and a bunch of other stuff too. But it
really loved Vinux, Slint and Arch at various times, but I digress...
