Didier, I saw somewhere that Gnome can now be installed in Slackware15. Will
you make this available for Slint, if not during install, after with
#slapt-get --install-set gnome
I would probably not daily drive it myself, but others might.

Nobody will package this for Slackware or Slint with its many dependencies,
sorry.
you could have minimal mate and standard mate, minimal mate gives you the core
mate packages but not a lot of the mate apps, and standard mate is, well a
standard mate desktop configuration followed by the brisk menu
A complete mate desktop will be included in slint 5.0, including the brisk
menu.
In addition, the installer will propose to install KDE and/or LXQt and/or XFCE
but a more a more fine grained modularity will not be provided by the
installer
by lack of the needed infrastructure. Plus I need to keep things as simple as
possible, being the only maintainer of the installer and more generally of the
Slint distribution. So there are features available in distrubtions with
dozens
or hundreds of contributors that alas can not make their way in Slint, sorry.
