fedora 34 and above, also, many linux vets sware by ext4 and recommend that
new users just go for ext4, also in this new version, not sure if its
already available, but you could include edge in the latest browsers
script, for those who want to use edge, otherwise follow the tutorial on
installing apps from last month to install it

Hi,
Are you sure it was due to having a btrfs file system? Which Fedora
version was
it? In any case I will take maximum precautions to avoid that this happens,
and require help from users to test carefully when the beta ISO will be
ready.
Cheers,
Didier

Hi,
This message's aim is to explain why it takes so long (and much
anticipated) to release Slint 15.0.of
I want to propose the btrfs file system by default in the auto mode
installation, thus need to provide good and safe settings for thelayout of the
root file system. this needs a lot of reading (new topic for me) ofthe official
documentation https://btrfs.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/Main_Pagedefault (openSUSE
<https://btrfs.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/Main_Page> and also of
information provided by distribution already installing it, by
Fedora) or optionally (Arch an derivatives, Ubuntu, Gentoo andothers). I think
it will be the default in more distributions in the coming years ando not want
to wait the next release cycle to provide it. But this needs a lotof testing to
make sure it works as expected, hence the delay. But make sure Idon't stay
idle!
Cheers,
Didier
