I think we all should remember how we started and that each one of us has
been a newbie first.
There were some incidences that I would prefer to forget, but generally I
was treated quite well. At one of my first Nationals years ago, a lady that
I had befriended came toward me briskly and rather in a hurry "just to say
hello to ME!? While I was stretching out my hand to greet her she ran past
me, almost ran me over. Well, SHE WAS DOUBLE HANDLING AND I WAS IN HER WAY.
That was my most embarrassing moment I can remember as a newbie, guess my
ego was bruised just a bit.
That taught me never to interfere with double handlers while at ring side.
Those people are dangerous and they are on a mission - LOL
When I look back I realize my naivety. So, newbies, a word of advice, if
you are ringside please stay out of the way and most of all, save your
special talk with a "pillar" or anyone else that looks important for a
lunch break, dinner or maybe you do want to take a chance on someone
grooming - but NEVER, EVER TRY TO TALK TO SOMEONE WHO HAS A DOG IN THE RING.
