When I was a provisional judge, I had the opportunity to observe under the
highly respected judge, Mr. Ralph Roberts. I asked him which he thought was
more important...coming or going. He replied....neither....Coming is just
as important as going, and all three (coming, going, and sidegait) should be
judged as a total picture.
As breeders we hold ourselves to a higher standard than the average Joe down
the street. The total dog...TYPE, TEMPERAMENT, AND MOVEMENT
(coming/going/sidegait) should always be the goal we strive for.
