If I'm not mistaken, it has something to do w/ propane. My sister looked
into one (I think the low fee is generator only, my impression was you'd need
to do something re propane storage outside and have an indoor connection.)
But, yes, they do go on automatically.
Actually, we both have wells, so without electricity we'd have no
water...Dad seemed to be pushing it.
