I'm not so sure that WDA members voted to have her judge. I believe you
must look at the other performance venues that she participates in.

They have done it to us twice now and as members of the GSDCA it is their

I am curious. Based on your example only 600 people voted for judge A, 627
voted for judge B and 610 voted for judge C. What is your point? If more
people vote for a particular judge then they generally win. Obviously I
have
missed something.
The single vote method works fine and gives us judges that we all seem to
want. Why some folks vote for some judges whom they have no knowledge of I
will
not ever figure out. Personally, I would not have known that Helen would do
the breed survey approach in specials. I had seen her judge several times
over
the years and thought she did a good jobs at these shows. Even received
several nice wins. So I voted for her, not first but she was one of the top
3.
Based on what evidently transpired in Texas, she will not get my vote in the
future.
Procedure in the ring is paramount. I liked the old way some judges( I
think
it was Ed Barritt who started it) used to do. After each individual exam
the
good group in one corner and the not as good group in the other corner.
Then
move the not so good group several more times to be sure that you don't
miss
anyone. Then excuse. Then do it again. But since it is an AKC show and
the
AKC gives the judge relatively wide latitude and expects the judge to "run
the
show the way they see fit" I guess we probably can't dictate
procedure. Can
we?
