I was only talking about the disappearance of correct shoulders and that one of
the possible reasons being lack of health.

Interesting point Barbara, so what say you to the connection with the upswing
in messenteric torsion and those improper shoulders from bloodlines you thought
were problem free....

IMHO some of the good shoulders may have disappeared as a result of health
issues tied to some of the lines that carried the beautiful shoulders.

P.S. There is nothing more beautiful than a German Shepherd with a beautiful
shoulder and correct rear follow thru trotting in a large grassy field! And
nothing more devastating than for that animal to die an early death from
bloat/torsion, auto-immune or immune mediated diseases, etc.
