My first impression is that the "anger" is misdirected. Why get mad at you..you didn't break the major? Sometimes dogs aren't pulled until the last minute.,right before the class. You can always ask the ring steward how many have picked up.However even then, some one can pick up or not pick up at the last minute, and say you are showing a 12-18 dog..and there are open dogs that haven't picked up yet..do you not show under the assumption that the major is broken since the open dog hasn't picked up..or do you show hoping the open dog picks up?Or what if you don't show and the open dog picks up at the last minute and YOU end up being the one to break the major? What happens..happens...and whoever is bitching and moaning needs to get over it. When it is that close to breaking a major..your damned if you do and damned if you don't. Seems that no one has considered that the person who ended up with 2pts spent all that money to come to a show needing a major only to have it broken, so every one gets it broke off in this scenario..no need to assign blame.
