[ SHOWGSD-L ] Vaccines

Speaking of vaccines, I took a couple of puppies to a Holistic vet yesterday
just for a "well puppy" check. I was trying this vet out because I don't
always want to drive one hour to the vet I really like. She told me that
certain vet schools had done a study years ago (and no one listened) that a
puppy needs ONE vaccination at about the age of 12 weeks for lifetime immunity.
(BTW, I will continue to drive the one hour because this vet was ridiculously
expensive ! , and I will probably continue to vaccinate at 8 weeks, and so on,
but personally I have not vaccinated an adult dog for years except for Rabies
and Kennel Cough.)
