Hi All,
I have always been a firm believer in not over vaccinating. I have never given
my dogs shots every year as I figured you do not vaccinate children every year,
why animals. It is also the biggest money maker for the Vets.
I am fortunate to have a Vet for a friend who does my titers and snaps and she
is total against shots every two weeks or giving more then one shot at a time.
My AB and Lab Clubs hold clinics every year where you can have all this done
also.
I do not give rabies after 10 years of age and we are lucky to leave in a start
that recognizes the Rabies Challenge and my Vet signs off on them. I have had
the pleasure to speak to Dr. Dobbs and she was wondering why for all those
years I did not give yearly shots, when I told her my reasoning she told me I
was correct.
One of my other Vets was also a researcher, she agreed with me and with my
cats, they get their first shots and one year booster including Feline Luk and
since they are house cats never anymore.
