This is good information Dave.
True, color, NATURAL color comes in all shades, strong and rich preferred.
The AKC uses a "complaint-driven" system...which is peachy...but where are
the testing facilities at the shows?
By the time the AKC machine gets around the protocal it has established, the
dog or color may be long gone.
We are only looking at self regulating OUR OWN AWARDS. MANY breed clubs
have HUGE requirements to
be the equivalent of what we call Select. Much more than a simple hair
snip. Talk about cost to people...
holy smokes ! The requirements for some take training, time, MONEY, and huge
HUGE effort, to say nothing
of HEAD TO TAIL HEALTH CERTIFICATION AND DISCLOSURE.
The AKC allows this, because it is in relation to a breed's own "in house
awards"....
Our requirements will be minor by comparison. Just DON'T DO IT.
