That is an excellent idea!!! I have been offering money back for titles for
many years. It has always been in my contracts and will remain there. I feel
that if a puppy owner takes the time to train and show and put titles on one of
my puppies ... what a great way to advertise good temperament and intelligence!
Even if the new owner didn't go on for titles after taking some classes, both
have gotten off on the right paw!

I have gotten quite a bite of feedback from people about my post...
Here's my question to all of you who feel that AKC should step up to the
plate.
Agility, was introduced to get the average pet person involved in AKC sports.
Rally was introduced to get the average pet person involved and so on down the
line.
Can you actually tell me, with a straight face that you are actively telling
your pet folks all the interesting things they can do with their dogs?
Seriously
- especially people who only have mostly bred dogs for the breedring and very
few dogs with other titles... And I am not excluding myself.
When was the last time you told some new folks about a dog show? They should
come so they can watch agility, rally, you name it? On your last litter of
pups,
did you send e-mails out to remind folks they should be going through obedience
classes - some do get hooked you know.
Yes, AKC should probably do more, but considering how far they were behind the
8 ball 10 years ago, strides are being made. I also believe that breeders
should
be helping in this regard..
Yes, maybe AKC should be more user friendly, but the face to face
representatives are us, the breeders of AKC purebred dogs...
