I saw 3 rattle snakes in Oregon this last summer I have never seen a snake here
in AZ but I know they are here. We have all type of gardener snakes in Oregon.
They eat bugs and mice and are a good thing to have around. I would let those
snakes be. They do tend to scare you when you first see them. Bull snakes are
also good for the garden and rodent control. I would rather have a few snakes
in the grass then rats in the barn!!!

Here in Georgia, the black snakes kill the venomous snakes and eat mice and
other rodents. I am always try to save them from my dogs, who will kill
them.

live in Delaware and we used to have black snakes. My German Shepherds

One time I was calling the dogs in the house and the shepherds came in and
then I noticed Jinx my male GP had a tail hanging from his mouth. I
slammed the door and told him to drop it. After a few seconds he gave it some
thought and dropped it. It was a mouse and it was still alive and ran off. I
guess Jinx was bringing the mouse in to save for later. (Yuck)
