Why? Because it would be good PR for our club. We could use that. And,
because it is a way to say thank you for the work all SAR dogs do. Too many
times the outcome is not as positive. It would be a nice gesture and should be
no skin off anyone's nose as this dog is not being recognized as a GSD, just as
a Hero in his own right. It's just a stinking letter. Geesh.

Why? Have we done this before for other breeds and mix breeds, sent letters of
recognition?? If not, why are a lot of you wanting to do this now for a dog
that is NOT a German Shepherd Dog? Are other parent clubs doing this for our
AKC registered German Shepherds and do you think the National Shiloh Shepherd
Club would do this for a German Shepherd Dog that they so obviously (its on the
web site) dislike? I really don't understand this thread at all.
