Oh how fortunate we who have been able to connect with a spouse with like
interests!!
That Animal Planet show - "It's me or the dog" shows some great training
ideas for the
OWNERS - This also reminds me of one of the times years ago that my Herb
and I
had some "ahem ****" and I realized the problem and told him it is a
difference in
PRIORITIES and we need to compromise as much as possible to handle this. WE
DID -- However, loving and showing GSDs was something we both had as a real
priority. The assistance we BOTH gave in, time, dedication, money etc. to
the
local clubs - AB, GSD, Obedience and all, was an exciting time of my life.

I wonder how many of us have "non-doggy" husbands. I'd like to hear
how you handle this. My husband doesn't want the dogs in the
house. Absolutely not in the bedroom! The dogs do come in but are
so used to being outside they prefer that if the weather is good.
Rain, hot weather - they like to be at least on the A/C sunporch.
Thankfully, he doesn't fuss too much about food, vet care etc. and he
will take good care of them if I'm away. Otherwise - they are my
dogs. Anne
