No, you brought up expensive homes w/ no furniture. It's good to want
something. It's good to work for something, to save, to make sacrifices.
It's
not good if you are deep in debt, mortgaging your financial security or your
family's financial security by biting off more than you can chew and that goes
for overspending on houses, dogs or whatever.
If it's not in the cards, it just isn't.
As far as someone being talked into expenses by a breeder, that's just plain
silly since it isn't children the breeder is selling to, it's adults, and if
they aren't fiscally savvy adults who get into something and "have no idea"
as you say, then shame on them. Besides, I can only imagine someone making
that mistake once and I can't imagine there are many "good ones" getting into
the hands of folks who can't afford the freight. Doesn't happen in real life.
