Minivan? Take a look at the Honda Odyssey. Esp. with the touring
package, it's a great van...don't know how many 500 crates will fit in
it, but the seats supposedly fold up flat (like the Dodge Caravan) so
there should be room for at least 3. Around here prices for the 2006s
are close to 40 thousand. Without the touring package it's still a
great van but a few thou less.
Mileage is around 18 mpg, which I believe is normal for a minivan.
Honda has, of course, a superb reputation for dependability.
Fred would tell you the Ford Freestar or whatever it is this year.
I checked one out this summer, a 2005 of course...and I've ridden in
several. They are good, too...can't swear to the mileage, tho.
Everyone I know with a Kia thinks they now have the best car
ever...but I hear the mileage isn't too hot. Can't beat the warranty,
tho...10 years worth.
Dodge and Chrysler minivans have bad reps for dying or developing
heart disease around 50,000 miles, but they are great if they don't do
that...best prices, best mileage.
