You people would have cringed back in the day when Ernie Loeb was the
master of the breed in this country. Joe Bihari often tells the story that
he was glad when Ernie just gave him the time of day..let alone tell him
his dogs were good. The old timers were not very "politically correct"
back then..they were harder people who had come out of hard times. There
wasn't much time for "feel" good applause..or "Atta boys" for effort. You
knew back then when someone gave you a compliment..it was the truth..and
not meant just to make you feel good. Those types of people help you
improve at first they might piss you off..but if you listen to their
criticism you will learn. The people who criticized Bull for lifting did me
a GREAT service. Had they not been so critical..I could not have improved.
Yes..it hurt..and yes..they weren't very nice..but at the end of the day it
made me more determined to improve. Now some of his biggest critics come to
us and say " You know..we were critical of Bull..but you guys took a dog
with a fault..and improved..you guys have done well." C.Grainger
