[ SHOWGSD-L ] Re: Judging the Dog the Day of the Show

Sally, For me it would be a privilege to judge their show not
consider it work under any conditions. Decorum was a poor choice of
words on my part. A kind of possession of dignity maybe. I attended
a specialty show where a judge who had judged the National and drawn a
big entry was conducting a conversation within earshot of more than
one person how drunk he had gotten at the bar in his hotel last
night. He was obviously hung over. During the show he referred to
some by their first name and was more familiar with some than
others. Shows should be fun and I like a judge with personality but
behavior as I've described turns me off. Jim
