This made me remember another way to catch rats . Put water about half full in
one of those 5 gallon straight sided buckets and put some corn meal in the
water or some kind of food that will float on top , then lean a board against
the bucket . The rats will climb up the board and jump in to get the food then
drown in the water <g> . Have done this many times as it doesn't include any
kind of poison .

No worries. I had to reach way down to the bottom to
get the last of the kibble while making a mental note (at 6 a.m?) to get more
kibble and just as I was leaning down, scooping up the kibble, TWO HUGE TREE
RATS ran up each NAKED arm.
