I do not know what the answer is, however when my daughter who is now 22 years old this month, was in school. I simply wrote a note or went in and discussed it with the principle or guidance counselor. They would provide her with all of the class work for that week and make it clear that it must be turned in the day she returned. Amy always did that. They did give me a bit of a hard time once in a while asking me what was more important, dogs shows or school??? But I explained the scholar ship programs and the fact that is was what our family did. The problem is they do not get money when the kids are out of school. They really just let her go without too much heartache and Amy did well in school. However that was the condition in me letting her go as well.
