Gary. you wouldn't be trying to use the "CTA" method of fencing with this
Savagette?
Old News??? Did they pay the debt? Old news or not, a $6,000.00 is a lot
of money to just "give away" which is in essence what happened. They got
the service.
What kind of "misunderstanding" are we talking about? My information was
that it was because there was a lack of proactive measures to collect the
debt. And as far as "old". My memory may not be entirely correct, but I
believe it was from mid-late 2003 that it was written off. I'm sorry.
$6,000.00 was just about the amount of Review LOSS one quarter right around
the time it was written off. So the Review looses more money because BIG
CORPORATION "misunderstood" something. imagine. this company at the end of
their fiscal year in 2001 (the last available fiscal reporting on their
website) had a NET EARNINGS of $300 MILLION .. Not to mention the fact that
their Gross Earnings for that same year were over $3 BILLION. Now. let's
just look at what $6,000 would mean to their advertising budget. which was
$592 MILLION.. Approximately 0.00001% - By the way.this is just the ONE arm
of the corporation, as Purina is actually Nestle Purina.
Uh Huh. Sorry. I don't care what the reason was. it just doesn't ring right
that a company like Nestle Purina stiffs the GSD Review, an arm of the GSDCA
for $6,000.00 and a Board member now reports this as just a
"misunderstanding". Now, if this had been part of their $50,000.00
sponsorship, then there wouldn't be an issue in my mind. But the Board hand
in had happy about the $9,000.00 the first year with a $6,000 debt. well.
doesn't make a whole lot of sense to this member of the Club.
But then. what in heck do I know.

This is old news, maybe two to three years old, and this information was
available to the board after the treasurer and auditors closed the books.
There was a misunderstanding between the Review and the advertising
department on their end, and as we all know, these things do happen in the
