I might be wrong but I thought there were a couple of people who dogs got sick
from food that came from this plant, not just humans.

The dirty little secret to many folks is that dogs deal

hey rarely get sick from it if they are normal and
ealthy. If you doubt that, look at all the disgusting
tuff they eat -- including their own and other animals'
oop -- and manage to survive and thrive just fine.
The guy I buy my Bravo raw meat from said that some health
fficials were at their CT plant a few years ago and they
ere swabbing everything. Guess what they found?? Yep.
almonella! Guess what geniuses? Raw meat tends to have
his type of stuff in it. That's why we cook our food! ;)
OTOH, it is our species that doesn't seem to do too well
hen exposed which is why everyone should WASH THEIR HANDS
ith soap and water whenever they touch any kind of dog
ood, treat or chew product no matter what they are or
here they were bought. (And wash them after touching the
ets themselves for good measure.) This is all just basic
ommon sense that, for whatever reason, seems to be
etting lost on our general population. Treat dog food the
ame way you would treat raw meat and everyone should be
ine. There have been recalls for bad things like toxins
r melamine or whatever in the food, but this one seems to
e a bit silly to me. This was done because PEOPLE were
etting sick, not because there was anything wrong with
he food that would be harmful to dogs. Bottom line...
ASH YOUR HANDS!!
