Actually, the total is 1,992 GSDs, and yes, the percentages are, as Paula
stated,
Clear 1014 51%
Carrier 637 32%
at Risk 341 17%
But, looking at all the other breeds listed so far, we are the most dogs
tested! Only a few other breeds are even remotely close in animals tested, the
Rhodesians, Berners, Pems & Boxers (which have really bad stats, that breed is
at 45% at risk & 38% carriers and only 17% clear)
I totally agree that it is a tool, let's just hope more and more people will
start testing their dogs to get better #'s. This is not that old of a test
yet, so I believe the #'s will certainly rise.
