Nope I won't share...A - I didn't hear it first hand...and B no lines were
mentioned...this was strictly a handler traveling with dogs...it could be from
any lines.  The big problem I had is that it was said as a joke ..."I'm lucky
to get the dogs to a show alive ha ha".

Quite frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if most handlers carry a bloat kit....it
would be responsible thing to do.   I also don't think this is any big news to
many on this list.

So what major line are these dogs from? This is the type of information we
should know to make better or informed decisions on breedings. To date our
lines are not having these issues but we want to keep them that way. Please
share!

me...not a surprise) and one of the people at our table is an apprentice with
one of the biggest all breed handlers in the country. He was telling me about a
little conversation he had with one of the former "apprentices" of one
of our biggest GSD handlers in the country.

to the show alive and how he would be driving with a van full of dogs and hear
one moving around restlessly. He would promptly pull over and inevitablely have
to "tube" the dog in order to keep it alive. Given that this was an
impromptu conversation, I have no reason to believe it's not true.
