If I am not mistaken, that may also have been the year Roon and mary Roberts
went BIS at the Cow Palace. (trying to make it GSD related) I had a friend who
was a Quarter Horse person and so I went to watch. That little mare who looked
even smaller as her rider was not the smallest rider -- I remember they
announced it was the first time an amateur, a woman and an Arabian won the Open
Reined Cow Horse Championship. I didn't know any of them but sure loved that
little mare.

O for sure. The Arabians are the most agile of all. We had two while my
daughter was in high school. However, my biggest pleasure was to watch them
at twilight when they threw their tails high in the air and ran around the
property, just "playing arab"
