I used to take my hospitality students to the Stock Show every year, to help
serve lunch to all the elementary kids who were on tour. I would spend my
day at the horse arena, watching the horse show conformation judging and
trying to figure out what was important in each breed. One year I was
privileged
to observe Quarter Horse Judging. It soon became apparent, the horse with
the most develop read end (i.e., biggest butt) always won.
