Gene, Of course, that is an obvious situation we have all experienced. But
that is a matter of improving a picture, not of turning a poor picture into a
great picture. That is what I was disputing, not merely making an
improvement in a picture. Robert

  Robert,

I will cite just one example of how a mediocre photo can be greatly improved
by cropping. It often happens that we cannot control the distance to the
subject, and do not posses the ideal focal length lens to get the subject to
exactly the size we want on the finished frame. Often we are left with
significant amounts of very impertinent material on our negative. The solution
is to crop it off. Usually I am thinking this as I trip the shutter. I
probably have a pretty good idea what I'm going to crop as I take it. Does this
make any sense to you?

You'll give me four examples of poor pictures that have been turned into
great pictures by cropping? Trust me, they weren't poor pictures to begin
with, or they aren't great pictures after cropping.

Well, let's not argue the facts. Trsut me, what
I stated is the case. Pay me $US 1,500 and I will
provide the details but, at the nonece, I am
trying to find a souce for money so , if you do
not choose to pay, well, you fall back into the
"is-was" bin, that of the losers.

Pay me, and I'll give you four examples.

    Marc
