Yes, of course, but we're talking about the same body supplied by the same
supplier and the identical measurements results for different models are
indicating it was a fact, adding to the historical references telling it.
The basic body was worked in the factory according the version and you
can't compare a 2,8 taking lens carrier weight with a 3,5 , the same way
the automatic mechanism to advance the frame to the number one adds weight
too, as the lightmeter, the DOF band, the WLF secondary mirror and the like.

I t measured my Rollei TLR cameras bodies a few minutes ago: Rolleicord IV
(1954), Rolleiflex 2,8C (1954), Rolleiflex 3,5F(1964), Rolleiflex 2,8F
(about 1970) Rolleiflex T Whiteface (about 1974); all them have;
Width:75mm (measured the camera basis where you find the Rolleifix slots);
Depth:65mm (measured from the camera body front, ignoring the front panel,
up to the focal plane line); Height: 110mm (Measured from the lateral side
wall lower chromed line to the upper chromed line, ignoring the WLF), They
share the same naked basic body..

Yes Richard, I posted the link twice or three times in the past. Carl Zeiss
is a lens tester manufacturer, one of the current models is the K9, that
one in the image is the K6, according Prochnow wrote me after to see the
factory images, he also said the images are from 1959. I think they could
use some special larger mask to test the lens to assure results for 6x6, I
thought it could be a perspective issue,but they really look 6x9cm or
similar neg size.
