I have an old Rolleiflex book (1936) and 450 employees are noted with 200,000
cameras having been sold. At the front of the building there are two
flagstaffs with Nazi Germany flags.

I just looked at a couple of older Rolleis, a c.1954 Automat
and a Rolliecord IV. Without disassembling the cameras its hard
to be sure. I don't remember well enough what is inside. Since
the focusing mechanisms are on opposite sides and the winding
mechanisms are quite different one would think the castings would
have to be different but it may be that everything is fitted to
the same casting. The more parts that are common the lower the
manufacturing cost (in general). Perhaps someone has a collection
of junk parts and could look at actual stripped or nearly
stripped castings.
The size of the factory in the photos is amazing, certainly
not a cottage industry.

Looking at the pictures Iremember that I read somewhere that all
TLR Rolleis share the same metal body. A single supplier
delivered all bodies, and then they were drilled at the factory
according to the different TLR models. Does anyone know if this
is true? That is, a Rolleiflex F and a Rolleicord share identical
body?

Yes Richard, I posted the link twice or three times in the past.
Carl Zeiss is a lens tester manufacturer, one of the current
models is the K9, that one in the image is the K6, according
Prochnow wrote me after to see the factory images, he also said
the images are from 1959. I think they could use some special
larger mask to test the lens to assure results for 6x6, I thought
it could be a perspective issue, but they really look 6x9cm or
similar neg size.

The pictures look familiar. Perhaps you posted a link to
them
in the past. I remember some discussion about the photo marked
"Lens Tester", next to it is what appears to be a viewer of some
sort but the transparencies do not appear to be 2-1/4 x 2-1/4. I
don't remember is this was ever resolved.
