Greg:

Would it be possible for the freelists administrator to determine the accounts
in vacation mode and send messages to them? Does ROCannounce go through the
same channel?

A quick message to both newcomers and long-time subscribers to roc-chat:
For the most part, our experience with roc-chat hosted on freelists.org has
been good. But there is one unfortunate “feature” of which you should be
aware. For reasons that are not entirely clear (it may be triggered by a
bounced message), freelists will sometimes take your account and put it into
vacation mode, in which delivery of messages is suspended. It is unfortunate
not only that it does this, but it does it without warning or notification. So
if you have not received roc-chat postings in a while, you should check your
account profile to see if it has been put into vacation mode.
Obviously this message will not directly help anyone who is already suspended,
but please spread the word to anyone you know who might be affected. Thanks.
