Sorry David, what I meant is removing the blast deflector from the pad
structure and having one on the ground separate from the structure.
The main point was not encouraging flyers to modify the pads regardless of the
findings.
You see pads without blast deflectors at XPRS and BALLS all the time.

Actually, it is not up to Kurt or the board. Before launching again I suggest
reviewing the applicable safety codes. Blast deflectors are required.

Please avoid damaging the pads. Once they are set up, there should be no
tampering with fasteners that are not used to load a rocket.
