At least it was only on a rocket.

On my third or fourth flight it was rolling for takeoff and the airspeed
indicator didn't respond.

I look out at the Pitot tube to see a remove before flight banner flying
proudly.

I will never forget the importance of a preflight checklist after that one!

Which also applies to rockets...

Really? Who would do that? Oh, wait. I did that around 1998 at Black Rock
and then came close to doing it again at TCC last summer when I got back
into HPR. I even taped a Remove Before Flight flag on both of those rockets
so I wouldn't make that mistake. Duhh!
