Right. THe Nikkormat FTn had a Cadmium Sulphide cell in it. It was an
SLR and had a metal shutter, which was a big advantage over the Leica
rangefinders. With the Nikkormat, you could point it at the sun and even
if the camera was focused at infinity, you would not burn pinhole in
the shutter because the mirror would be down and put the sun up the
viewfinder. With the Leica rangefinders, you would burn a hole in the
shutter.
