Hi,
After 13 years and a divorce, I can finally rebuild a darkroom (from
scratch). I have a lot of material, and enlargers up to 5X7. And I'm
willing to invest in the most important link of the chain : a top notch
enlarging lens.
I bought Ctein's "Post Exposure" when it was first published. When I
read it again, I'm amazed that some extremely common (and in my
experience very good) enlarging lenses didn't even appear in his famous
tests. To me, his criteria seem too strict for real-world use.
So, my question to you is : What is your best enlarging lens for
practical use? And most important of all : WHY ?
