Maybe Kodak V or W surface. Something like fine sandpaper. V is
white stock and W ivory. Has a definite tooth. Probably other makers had
similar surfaces. I have never seen RC paper with any sort of extreme
surface, which is not to say there have never been any.
If this is double weight have a look at the back. DW Kodak papers
had a definite screen texture on the back. Smooth could be anybody's. I
have no idea what is currently made with a similar surface.

Long ago I was given some matte paper that had a very dull, almost chalky
finish. I would assume that would be fiber base, right? I have no idea what
kind of paper it was but I really liked it. The print almost looked like a
drawing on it. I know many papers have been eliminated but could someone
recommend a matte paper with no (or little) texture, please? Thank you.
