Well, I probably did have a restore back when but that's been sitting on my
system for years, and I never understood why I installed 05 in the first place.
I think I was going to try tutorials from blindgeeks, but the Jaws scripts were
still kind of beta then.

Well, in the future you are better off to make a Restore Point prior to
downloading anything. Then if it goes bad you can roll it back and that usually
works pretty well if you have not changed or removed any of the files or
folders related to the installed product or messed with the Registry.
Eventually you will want to have either Sql Server Express or the Compact
Edition to use as a Database for your projects unless you use the MsAccess
Database. Your system will likely be fine even iif the UnInstall went badly. It
will only show a problem when you try and ReInstall Sql Express so don't panic.
And, in most cases you can clean things up. In my case I did something where I
could never get rid of the Default instance even though I Uninstalled
everything I thought. I had to ReInstall the OS to get a clean computer and
there after have been very careful about installing and UnInstalling that puppy.

I uninstalled the compact one I had, the SQL Studio, and desktop engine,
not sure why I ever put it on in the first place, but I haven't rebooted yet. I
hope I didn't mess that up.

Hi: If you are thinking of UnInstalling or Installing Sql Server be very
careful! If you have a problem with UnInstlling this software, and it has to be
done in a particular way or it won't work, you can make it almost impossible to
ReInstall and in the worst case you might have to ReInstall the OS to get VS
and Sql Server to work properly. Ask on list about uninstalling that puppy
unless you know how to do it!
