Hello,

Andreas, are you referring to the TeDUB project? There was another
project run by dr. Oussama Metatla from Queen Mary university here in
the uk, which i believed worked on a similar principle. The software
presented the diagrams in a tree structure where the elements had
textual descriptions along with sounds to signify its type. The
various nodes of a diagram could be expanded and you would have access
to attributes, relations etc. The software was combined with a haptics
device, which allowed a user to get a feel for how the diagram is
visually layed out by using a magnetic pen. The device could also be
used to move various elements to different locations. I tested the
solution more than a year ago, when it was in its early stages of
development. I haven't since looked at it, but it may have moved on.
Do search for DR. Oussama Metatla, as the solution maybe useful to
you.

If you happen to be in the UK an dneed information on transcription
services etc, then do contact me and i can help you further.

Regards,
Chamandeep Singh Grover
