No, it's still in Beta and I don't mess with Beta. I've never
even tried Vista because of all the problems with it.
Interesting that M$ is putting XP into Win7 and not Vista.
Obviously due to the problems and lack of interest you mentioned.

I wonder if you don't like Win7 if you can always run it "as XP".

Have you had a chance to use Windows 7 Clint? It is much better
than
Vista ever was and the fact that it works with much of the
hardware that
XP is using speaks volumes for a smoother upgrade path than the
Vista path.

I think it has a lot to do with the extended support time line MS
has
given XP Pro after so few moved to Vista, the number of Vista
users who
went back to XP, and the number of people who switched to Mac and
Linux.
Mac now accounts for 10% of users while many governments are
moving to
Linux in light of the economic downturn and cost saving measures.

I am left to wonder what the support of this will be like, when
non
geeks start using virtual XP every day and the flood at the MS
support
level. Imagine MS continuing support of XP virtual mode and
discontinuing XP desktop support? What a mess!
